Great work!
But I downloaded the sprite sheet, and am unable to find the dash animation displayed on this page (running version). The pack does contain an idle-dash and a run-dash.
The idle dash is better since it has multiple frames with more details, but I need a running one, like the one displayed on this page
The pack does offer one, but it only has 3 frames, and lacks details (like the particles left behind after a dash), I tried using the idle-dash instead, but the animation for idle is done in such a way that the cape moves, simulating inertia, which is not looking good when using it from a running state.
My question is, the dash displayed on this page, is it included in the package? I don't think so. I would really love to get it, since it is one of the reasons I wanted to buy this pack.
Thanks!
Thank you for your feedback on the issue. I believe there may have been a misunderstanding. It seems you may have downloaded only the newer version of the asset, which contains just the organized keyframes. This version was uploaded in response to a comment request to make it easier to include the asset in games.
However, all the animations displayed on the page are actually included in the original version of the asset. Since you’ve already purchased the asset, you can download that version as well.
To avoid confusion, I’ve now combined both versions into a single download. You can get everything in one package.
If you still experience any issues, please feel free to reach out—I’ll be happy to help!
So in the original package, there's only one dash animation, called "dash.png", which is basically the "idle-dash.png" version from v1.1, with 9 frames
The v1.1 pack adds a "run-dash.png", with only 3 frames
My expectation would be a "run-dash.png" with 9 frames as well
I can see on this page the animation, where the character runs to right, then dashes, then continues running, that seems to be a different version than the "idle-dash", but also a much better and longer version of the "run-dash"
Please let me know if I misunderstood something, I looked all throughout the assets and cannot find what I am looking for
Let me know the name of the png file containing the animation if you believe it is included
I’m sorry you’re absolutely right. I forgot to extract the image from the .aseprite file named “4. dash animation.ase” in the first version. That file contains the full animation, including all the frames and layers for both the run and idle animations. I hope this didn’t cause any inconvenience.
No, it's fine, I really appreciate your help, and quick response
Thanks a lot!
QQ: will the assets be updated to include the .png versions for the missing layers? or do I have to go through with opening the .ase in some app?
No need — I’ve just updated it. You can install it now.
yo tysm for fixing the sprite sheet, it works very well with my game!
No problem, I’m really glad to hear it’s working smoothly with your game.
I apologize for the inconvenience. I wish I could issue a refund, but I’m uncertain how to do so on this website. I’ve included an Aseprite file (Also the Sprite sheet if don’t know how to export it) containing all the animations. It works on Mac; you can open it with Aseprite or any other pixel art animation editor you prefer. You can export the animations from there. I hope this is helpful to you. If you have any suggestions regarding the file type I should upload in the future, please let me know. This will resolve many issues and benefit you as well. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.😊👌
IT WORKS TYSM
I also searched for how to open a RAR file on Mac, and it seems that you can use the Unarchiver application, which is available for free on the Mac App Store
sounds good
When i downloaded it showed up with a cone instead of a file.
I do not know what you mean 🤔, It’s a RAR file
Just found your work today and congratulations really cool pixel work and characters!
